A NEW IKEA store is set to open in Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow this February.

The Carlow store is the latest of the Swedish multinational’s ‘plan and order’ points, which are smaller stores dedicated to kitchen, bedroom and living room planning, with furnishing advice and expertise to help design your ideal space. The IKEA plan-and-order point will be located in the former GameStop unit at Fairgreen Shopping Centre, which has been vacant since last May.

IKEA is set to open in Carlow on 13 February and is currently recruiting staff, according to Mr Brophy, Manager of Fairgreen Shopping Centre.

At IKEA’s plan-and-order points, you can book an appointment with its planning specialists or use in-store self-service tools to design your own requirements. And while there are no items to buy in-store and take home on the day, purchases made at the plan-and-order points can be delivered to homes, collected for free from one of its stores, or from one of IKEA’s partner locations.
