Do you own or are you buying a Vacant or Derelict Property?

Carlow County Council’s Regeneration Office is hosting drop in drop out public information sessions to raise awareness around vacant and/or derelict homes, and the grants and schemes that are available to property owners. Members of Carlow County Council’s Housing Department and The Housing Agency will also be available to give advice each day on supports available.


The following are some of the Schemes that can be covered at the information sessions:
• Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant
• Repair and Lease
• Buy and Renew
• Conservation Advice Grant
• Heritage Funding
• Ready to Build (Serviced Sites)
• Housing unlocked – The Working Home

These information sessions will take place at the following locations –
>Town Hall, Centaur Street, Carlow, R93 TK85 on Tuesday, 24th September 2024 from
5pm to 7pm
>McGrath Hall, Station Road, Kilcarrig, Muine Bheag, Co. Carlow, R21 WR66 on Tuesday, 1st October 2024 from 5pm to 7pm
>Teach Bhríde, New, Chapel Lane, Tullowphelim, Tullow, Co. Carlow, R93 W447 on Tuesday, 8th October 2024 from 5pm to 7pm

The aim of these information sessions is to provide an opportunity to members of the public to hear, at first hand and on a one to one basis, the range and scope of grants and schemes that are available. Members of the public are encouraged to attend to find out more about the various grants and schemes available to bring properties back into use.


There are various options which can suit people in all walks of life from those wishing to renovate their first home to those wishing to bring back a loved one’s home that has laid vacant for many years to those wishing to refurbish a vacant and/or derelict commercial property.
