County Carlow Youth Theatre Annual Production AprilApr 12 2024 19:30 - AprilApr 13 2024 19:30 UTCCarlow, Ireland

A Double-Bill of Theatre for Families and Young People. County Carlow Youth Theatre is an initiative of Carlow County Council Arts Office with funding from the Arts Council of Ireland.
County Carlow Youth Theatre presents two for the price of one, a night of theatre for families and young people. First up is ‘In Quest of a Play’ by Geraldine O’Neill, originally devised with Physically Phishy Youth Theatre, followed by ’The Adventures of the Brothers Grimm’ by John Morton.
What happens when you leave a bunch of children alone in a drama workshop? Do they sit there twiddling their thumbs? Scroll on their phones? No, they make up and perform an epic adventure play. Join our gang as they go ‘in quest of a play.’
The brother Grimm collected some of our most beloved fairytales: Cinderella, Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk. But have we ever heard their story! Come see one version, in this irreverent production where the Brothers Grimm come face to face with their characters.
The double bill has a cast of 36 young people from all around Carlow, who have put together two very entertaining productions.
