Located in Garryhill, Co. Carlow, Gaelic Escargot is the pioneer of farming free-range escargots with their farm and Research Centre the first of its kind on these shores.
Since 2013 they have been researching and farming snails, with a particular emphasis on free-range and sustainable production. Today, they provide Irish escargots to the foodservice sector on an international scale. Gaelic Escargot also provides farm tours, full mentoring for existing snail farmers as well as to those aspiring, offering snail farming courses, breeding stock, and on-going support.
