CARLOW has secured its place as the official home of National Community Games until the end of 2028. The good news was confirmed this week and is seen as a major economic boost to the county, speculated to be in the region of €20 million.
After months of negotiations between Community Games nationally, Carlow County Council, SETU, Visual and Carlow College, it was agreed that Carlow would host the games until the end of the 2028 season. Carlow has successfully hosted the national games in recent years and the exemplary organisation and smooth running in Carlow were, no doubt, a huge plus when it came to securing the four-year deal.
Building upon its legacy of excellence and renowned for its top-notch facilities, South East Technological University (SETU) will be hone to the athletics and outdoor teams National Festival events.
